Events Manager and Policy – Climate & Trade Nexus

Nadezhda Skotnikova works in the climate crisis team at the Forum on Trade, Environment & the SDGs (TESS) as Events Manager and Policy – Climate & Trade Nexus. She brings more than 13 years of experience leading policy analysis, designing and delivering high-level international policy dialogues, and supporting multilateral negotiations at the intersection of trade, climate action, circular economy, and sustainable development.

Before joining TESS, Nadezhda worked as an independent consultant for international organizations, as well as for the private sector, with a focus on trade, sustainability, regulatory developments, and value chains, including in the textile sector. She has previously worked in several roles supporting inter-governmental processes at the multilateral level, serving as the Secretary to the Trade Committee at UNECE and worked at the WTO Intellectual Property, Government Procurement and Competition Division.

Her research and publications focus on sustainable trade, circular economy, government procurement, global value chains, competition policy, digital trade, and sustainable development. Nadezhda is a certified Project Management Professional and a PhD candidate in International Law at the University of Zürich. She holds a Master in International Law and Economics from the University of Bern. She is fluent in English and Russian and has professional fluency in French.
