Aid for Trade, Environment, and Sustainable Development

TESS hosted a lunch discussion with Geneva-based colleagues working on aid for trade, environment, and sustainable development.

The Purpose of the Meeting Was to Enable an Informal, Small Group Exchange of Ideas on

  • the state of play, challenges and opportunities for work on this topic in the multilateral trade arena; strategic priorities, including in terms of analysis and framing to address sustainable development priorities of developing countries;
  • existing or evolving plans for the Global Aid for Trade Review and further work on this topic;
  • opportunities to bolster cooperation among the various agencies active on this topic in the multilateral trade arena (and potentially with other significant actors, such as the GEF and Green Climate Fund); and
  • how the work of stakeholders could best support work on this topic.
